Fin tube coolers are heat exchangers that transfer heat between a fluid flowing inside a tube and air or another fluid passing over the outside of the tube. Fins are attached to the outer surface of the tube to significantly increase the available heat transfer area, allowing more heat to be exchanged per unit of space than a bare tube alone could achieve. We manufacture fin tube coolers using copper tubes with aluminium or copper fins as standard. Steel tubes with aluminium fins and other material combinations are available for applications involving higher pressures, elevated temperatures, or chemically aggressive fluids.

Fin density refers to the number of fins per unit length along the tube, typically expressed as fins per inch. Higher fin density increases the heat transfer surface area and improves thermal performance, but also increases airside pressure drop and is more susceptible to fouling in dusty environments.
