Coil Servicing & Repair in the UAE - Viking Emirates Radiators

Viking Emirates Radiators & Cooling Systems has been servicing, repairing, and supplying HVAC, industrial, and marine coils across the UAE for over 25 years. From our Sharjah facility, we provide coil servicing to building owners, facilities management teams, industrial operators, and equipment workshops who depend on correctly maintained heat exchanger coils to keep their cooling and refrigeration systems performing at full capacity in the demanding climate of the Gulf region.

What Is Coil Servicing?

Coil servicing covers the full range of maintenance, cleaning, repair, and replacement work required to keep HVAC, refrigeration, and industrial coils operating at their designed heat transfer capacity. Over time, coils accumulate dust, biological growth, scale, and corrosion on both the air-side fin surfaces and the internal tube circuits, restricting airflow, reducing heat transfer efficiency, and in some cases causing refrigerant or fluid leaks that compromise system performance entirely. In the UAE, where dusty conditions, high humidity, and continuous system operation accelerate coil degradation, unserviced coils are one of the most common causes of reduced cooling output, rising energy consumption, and premature equipment failure. Regular coil servicing restores performance, extends equipment life, and prevents minor issues from developing into costly system breakdowns.

Our Servicing Capabilities

Comprehensive coil servicing and repair for HVAC, refrigeration, and industrial applications across the UAE and Gulf region.

Coil Cleaning & Fin Washing

Chemical and pressure cleaning of air-side fin surfaces to remove dust, biological deposits, and blockages that restrict airflow and reduce heat transfer performance.

Internal Tube Flushing

Chemical flushing of internal tube circuits to remove scale, sludge, and fouling deposits that restrict fluid flow and reduce thermal efficiency.

Leak Detection & Repair

Pressure testing to locate refrigerant or fluid leaks in coil circuits, followed by repair using appropriate brazing or sealing methods where the coil condition permits.

Fin Straightening & Core Restoration

Straightening of damaged or bent fins to restore designed airflow distribution across the coil face area.

Coil Replacement & Recoring

Full coil replacement or recore where the existing unit is beyond economic repair, manufactured to match original dimensions and specifications.

Custom Replacement Coils

Purpose-built replacement coils manufactured in-house to customer specifications for units where standard replacements are not available from the original equipment supplier.

Applications

Our coil servicing covers building owners, facilities management teams, industrial operators, and equipment workshops throughout Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the wider UAE and Gulf region.

HVAC & Air Handling Units

Coil cleaning, repair, and replacement for AHU and FCU installations in commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, and shopping malls.

Chiller Systems

Evaporator and condenser coil servicing for air-cooled and water-cooled chiller units across commercial and industrial installations.

Refrigeration & Cold Storage

Coil servicing and replacement for cold room evaporators, blast freezer coils, and food processing refrigeration equipment.

Industrial Process Cooling

Coil maintenance and repair for industrial process heat exchangers, compressor coolers, and fluid cooling applications.

Marine & Offshore

Coil servicing for shipboard HVAC and refrigeration systems operating in saltwater and high-humidity environments.

District Cooling & Central Plants

Coil inspection, cleaning, and replacement services for large-scale district cooling and central plant installations.

Why Viking Emirates

With over 33 years of coil manufacturing and servicing experience in the UAE, our team has the technical knowledge to diagnose, repair, and restore coils across the full range of HVAC, refrigeration, and industrial applications we encounter in the region. Because we manufacture coils in-house, we can produce custom replacement units where standard parts are not available, often faster and at lower cost than sourcing from overseas suppliers. Every coil that leaves our facility after servicing is pressure tested and inspected before it is returned to the customer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should HVAC coils be serviced in the UAE?

In UAE conditions, air-side coil cleaning is recommended at least twice per year due to the high dust levels and continuous system operation common across the region. Internal tube flushing and a full condition inspection are recommended annually. Systems in coastal, industrial, or high-occupancy environments may require more frequent attention.

In many cases yes. Localised leaks at individual tube joints or fittings can be repaired by brazing. Coils with widespread corrosion, multiple leak points, or severely degraded tube walls are more cost-effectively addressed through full replacement. Our team will assess and recommend the most practical option for your unit.

The combination of high humidity, salt-laden coastal air, and chemical contaminants in the airstream accelerates corrosion on both the fin surfaces and tube walls of HVAC and refrigeration coils. Copper and aluminium coils are both susceptible over time, and protective coatings or epoxy fin treatments can significantly extend coil service life in aggressive environments.

Yes. Because we manufacture coils in our Sharjah facility, we can produce custom replacement units to match the original coil dimensions, circuit configuration, and refrigerant or fluid type where standard replacements cannot be sourced.

Common indicators include reduced cooling output from the system, higher than normal energy consumption, ice formation on evaporator coils, visible dirt or biological growth on fin surfaces, refrigerant or fluid leaks, and unusual system pressures or temperatures during operation.
